Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC Laser and Press Brake Operator/Fabricator for the Norfolk, VA team on 3rd shift. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to fabricate precision sheet metal parts per drawings and specifications.

3rd shift runs Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 pm to 7:00 am. Candidates should have strong measuring skills and a proven track record in fabricating and assembling precision components in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience in CNC Press brake/laser operation in a manufacturing setting.
• At least 2 years fabricating, fitting, and assembling precision parts per drawings.
• At least 2 years of experience with precision sheet metal, including flat layouts and bend deductions.
• At least 1 year of experience using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers.
• At least 1 year of experience reading blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC press brake and laser equipment.
• Interpret drawings and work packages with attention to precision tolerances.
• Measure precision parts with calibrated instruments.
• Fabricate new parts or repair existing ones per manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot minor programming and mechanical issues as needed.
• Operate manual machines (lathes, mills, drills) and machinist tools.
• Work with materials to meet drawing specifications.
