Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC Laser and Press Brake Operator/Fabricator for the 3rd shift in Norfolk, VA. You will program, set up, and operate CNC equipment, interpret drawings, and fabricate precision sheet metal parts to tight tolerances.

Role requires 6+ years CNC experience, 2+ years fabrication, and proficiency with precision measuring instruments. Shift is 10:30 pm–7:00 am, Sunday–Thursday, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required with 6+ years CNC press brake/laser operation experience.
• 2+ years fabricating, fitting, and assembling precision parts per drawings.
• 1+ year reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC press brake and laser equipment.
• Interpret drawings and work packages with attention to tolerances.
• Measure precision parts with calibrated instruments and ensure conformance.
• Fabricate or repair parts per manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot minor programming and mechanical issues.
• Operate manual machines (lathes, mills, drills).
• Read blueprints and use Acu-Rite readouts for precision.
• Plan sequence of actions to complete jobs.
