Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a Sheeter Operator in Wisconsin to transform master rolls into precise sheets for high-speed presses. You will balance mechanical skill with attention to detail to meet tight specifications and maintain throughput.

Responsibilities include setup, monitoring machine tension and cut lengths, quality audits, and safe operation. Training covers day shift initially, with a 2nd shift position on site. Competitive benefits accompany a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically minded and able to adjust machinery.
• Quality-focused with pride in doing it right the first time.
• Able to stand 8–12 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Safety-certified or able to learn clamp trucks, forklifts, and electric pallet jacks.
• Willing to work the 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Mon–Fri); training on day shift first 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Set up master rolls and load backstand, threading the web and setting slitters and knives per work instructions.
• Monitor the Sheeter to maintain peak efficiency, tension, and consistent cut lengths.
• Conduct ongoing quality audits for squareness, sheet size, and surface defects.
• Troubleshoot jams and tension issues using mechanical aptitude.
• Manage roll stock data and ensure pallets are labeled and staged using forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Maintain a safe, clean workstation and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to GMP standards for hygiene and tool accountability.
