Job summary

Phoenix Color, a company of Lakeside Book, is seeking a Material Handler / Sheeting Helper to keep production moving at our Terre Haute facility. This full-time role offers daytime hours, a starting pay range, and benefits.

You will operate forklifts, prepare rolls, package and stage products, and support operators while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. OSHA forklift certification and 6-12 months experience preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift/pallet jack experience preferred (6–12 months).
• Ability to lift 45–70 lbs and push/pull up to 1100 lbs.
• Basic math, reading, and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain rolls for machines.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other PIV equipment.
• Package and stage products for the pressroom.
• Assist operators as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Prepare recyclable waste for transport.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Starting Pay: $18.45 - 18.95/hr (+$1.00/hr Night Shift Differential)

Pay Grade Rage : $18.45 - 22.80/hr (+$1.00/hr Night Shift Differential)

What You'll Do:

As a Material Handler / Sheeting Helper, you'll keep our production moving by:

• Preparing and maintaining rolls for machines
• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other PIV equipment
• Packaging and staging products for the pressroom
• Assisting operators as needed
• Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Preparing recyclable waste for transport
• Following all safety policies and procedures

What It Takes:

• Ability to lift 45-70 lbs and push/pull up to 1100 lbs with a manual pallet jack
• Comfortable standing/walking for 12-hour shifts in varying conditions
• Basic math, reading, and measurement skills
• Attention to detail, organization, and teamwork
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent + 6-12 months of forklift/pallet jack experience
