Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate sheet metal equipment safely, with troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve fabrication issues and improve processes.
• Mentor junior sheet metal workers to maintain high workmanship.

In this role, you will impact the quality, reliability, and efficiency of Honeywell’s manufactured products by delivering expertly crafted sheet metal components that meet stringent engineering specifications and safety requirements, while driving continuous improvement in fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the fabrication, assembly, and installation of complex sheet metal parts and products using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to precise tolerances.
• Perform and oversee quality inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with stringent standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain and operate sheet metal equipment safely and efficiently, performing advanced maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex fabrication issues and implement process improvements.
• Mentor and train junior sheet metal workers to enhance team capabilities and maintain high workmanship standards.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Extensive experience in sheet metal fabrication, including advanced cutting, bending, and assembling of metal components.
• Expert ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to sheet metal work.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining advanced sheet metal tools and machinery such as shears, brakes, rollers, and CNC equipment.
• Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection techniques to ensure product compliance with rigorous standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and best practices in sheet metal fabrication environments.

WE VALUE

• Technical certification or associate degree in sheet metal technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in sheet metal work within a manufacturing or industrial setting, including leadership or mentorship roles.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes applicable to sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail in metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
