Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a skilled machinist to operate and set up lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, verify tolerances with precision tools, and perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and Honeywell standards.

Job Description

In this role, you will impact the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes, contributing to the delivery of superior products that meet customer specifications and Honeywell’s standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up various machine tools including lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure parts meet required tolerances and standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot machinery to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Train associates on processes and procedures related to machining to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Comply with all safety and quality standards and procedures.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5+ years proven experience as a machinist with advanced skills in operating and setting up machine tools.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, precision measurement tools, and quality control standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Experience with CNC machines and manual machining equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
