Gem Plumbing & Heating in East Lyme, CT is seeking a Construction Sheet Metal Technician to install, maintain, repair and/or replace sheet metal systems according to current codes and specifications. You will collaborate with teammates to ensure precise, efficient project completion and test equipment after repairs.

The candidate should read blueprints, handle parts and tools, and document work performed. A strong focus on safety, quality and timely reporting is essential for success in this

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be enrolled in or completed required trade school as required by state apprentice regulations.
• A minimum of 2 - 3 years of related work experience including hands on training in the trade is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with local and national codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair systems according to specifications and codes.
• Read blueprints to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to complete the job.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, time spent, and any other relevant information.
• Provide detailed reports to supervisors and clients as required.
