Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products by measuring, cutting, shaping and joining metal sheets using machinery and hand tools.
• Set up and operate bending and sheet metal forming equipment (expanders, hydraulic forming presses, band saws, deburring).
• Press Brake setup and operation; Shear setup and operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions; work to daily priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The successful candidate will fabricate and assemble sheet metal products by precisely measuring, cutting, shaping and joining metal sheets using specialized machinery and hand tools. 1st shift, 7am - 3:30pm.

• Setup and operation on bending and sheet metal forming equipment (expanders, hydraulic forming presses, band saws, light/heavy deburring)
• Press Brake Set up and operation
• Setup and Operate Shear
• Work to daily priorities, adhering to manufacturing schedules
• Set up press fixtures
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions
• Hand fabrication

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of Aerospace sheet metal experience
• Deburr experience (use of abrasive and finishing buffing wheels)
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, indicators, tape measures, pie tapes, go-no-go gages.
• Use of band saws including cut to scribe template lines.
• Blueprint reading experience
• Strong math and problem solving
