Job summary

Anchor Fabrication has an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator in our Shipping department at Fort Worth, TX. The role involves moving products and materials to correct areas, ensuring accuracy with production and shipping schedules, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of forklift experience in manufacturing, basic computer skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of forklift experience in manufacturing.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Clean driving record with no property damage accidents within the past three years
• Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
• Dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle equipment safely.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience with Sheet Metal
• Satisfactorily pass in-company forklift certification program

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operations and safety checks, including battery, seat belt, brakes, life control and fire extinguisher.
• Identifies many types of raw material, in process or finished product, equipment, or processing materials.
• Check identification of materials to be moved. Cross-references with production schedule or shipping schedule to ensure accuracy.
• Proceeds safely to assigned area to pull load and move materials to correct work area.
• Report’s inconsistencies or problems to supervisors
• Other duties assigned
