Job summary

Lionshead Precision Metals is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector for sheet metal fabricated parts. You will perform first and last piece inspections, maintain first article reports, and conduct in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gages, and gages to ensure adherence to drawings and tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably with sheet metal fabricated parts.
• Proficiency in using standard measuring tools such as digital calipers, micrometers, height gages, ring and plug gages.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with first article inspection reports and PPAP documentation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

• Perform first and last piece part inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain first article inspection reports.
• Conduct in-process inspections and final inspections of sheet metal fabricated parts.
• Utilize standard measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in the preparation and review of PPAP documentation.
• Ensure all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Adhere to safety and quality policies and procedures.
