Job summary

Prototek Sheetmetal Fabrication, LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector I to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications.

Use calipers, micrometers, CMM, and optical comparators to verify tolerances and generate accurate inspection reports and certificates of conformance. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of quality inspection experience, with blueprint reading and GD&T familiarity, and knowledge

Qualifications

• 1+ year of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Blueprint reading and basic GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Inspect parts to print using hand tools, CMM, and optical comparators.
• Generate inspection reports and Certificates of Conformance.
• Support FAI documentation and customer certification requirements.
• Route parts through secondary processes and ensure on-time flow to shipping.
• Communicate quality issues and status updates with internal teams.
• Follow ISO/AS procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
