Job summary

You will document results, maintain logs, and use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and GD&T to verify tolerances. Communicate issues to Shift Lead and QA team, with a shift differential included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of hands-on quality control in metal fabrication/manufacturing.
• Familiarity with sheet metal processes and ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with calipers, protractor and tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections on laser-cut, formed, punched, and welded sheet metal parts.
• Use precision tools to verify tolerances and document results.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Identify defects and non-conformances.
• Maintain inspection logs and calibration records.
• Communicate quality issues with Shift Lead, Dept. Supervisor, and QA team.
• Assist with other duties as required.
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols.
