Job summary

The Diez Group in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a full-time production associate to wrap and package finished products and support direct labor in production, storage, and distribution. The role involves standing most shifts, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working overtime as required.

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and Sunday double time after 40 hours. Shift differential of $0.75 per hour applies to the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift and/or crane experience a plus.

• Hand stack material coming off the press machine.

Description

This position ensures that finished product is wrapped and packaged according to customer specifications. And primarily responsible for performing tasks involved in the direct labor of production, storage, and distribution of materials/product.

Pay is $19.00 per hour

Overtime after 40 hours a week

Double time on Sunday after 40 hours a week

Shift Differential for 2nd Shift $.75 per hour

• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility by cleaning up debris
• Continuous use of hand tools such banders and crimpers

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This job operates in a heavy industrial steel / aluminum processing and distribution plant. When on the plant floor the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be appropriately worn.

Physical Demands

The employee is often required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds, with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. In addition to the previously mentioned physical demands, hearing is also an important part of this job.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Extended hours, nights and weekend work may be necessary based on business needs.

Travel

This position requires no regular and customary travel.

Required Education and Experience

• HS diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
• Previous crane and/or forklift operating experience is a plus
