Dover Food Retail is seeking a Machine Operator II – Sheetmetal in Keosauqua, IA. The role involves operating sheet metal equipment, reading blueprints, and performing precise measurements to supply upstream departments with required parts.

You will follow detailed instructions, maintain a clean and safe work area, and participate in routine maintenance. This hourly position offers benefits and opportunities for growth within Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and work orders.
• Ability to read rulers, calipers and measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal equipment (brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, deburring) to produce parts.
• Fill all part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department.
• Read rulers and measuring tools to verify dimensions.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and blueprints.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Inspect finished parts for conformance to specs.
• Start machines, adjust controls, and run trial cuts.
• Monitor operations and adjust to meet specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Use safety equipment and PPE per operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
