Aerotek in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to install commercial HVAC ductwork from blueprints on fast-paced projects in the New York Metro Area.
Responsibilities include installing rectangular, spiral, and oval ductwork, reading blueprints, fabricating field components, rooftop cut-ins, and ensuring safety while meeting deadlines. On-site, contract role with pay based on experience.

Join a team building major commercial projects across the New York Metro Area. We’re looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic with experience installing commercial HVAC ductwork and working from blueprints in fast-paced construction environments.
Install rectangular, spiral, and oval ductwork systems
Read blueprints and HVAC layouts
Fabricate and modify sheet metal components in the field
Perform rooftop cut-ins and fan installations
Install supports, dampers, and HVAC components
Work safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines
Commercial sheet metal/HVAC experience
Blueprint reading skills
Field fabrication experience
Rooftop installation experience
OSHA 30 Certification
SST 10 Certification
Large commercial construction experience
Lead mechanic or crew leadership experience
Familiarity with NYC/NY commercial projects
This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn, NY.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $38.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
