Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a skilled Special Projects Sheet Metal Mechanic to fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal using plenums, fire dampers and diffusers on smaller commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sheet metal mechanic field or equivalent
• Familiarity with duct mate, spiral, slide and drive ductwork
• Must be able to multi-task, follow instructions, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Must pass post-offer drug screen and background checks as required

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble sheet metal products using relevant tools
• Read and understand blueprints, drawings and specifications
• Set out a line of commercial duct and hang it properly with assistance
• Inspect fabricated parts for quality and precision
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and machines
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks efficiently
• Perform duties requiring physical stamina and lifting up to 50 lbs
