Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our growing construction team in Virginia. You will layout, fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products for HVAC systems, including ductwork and related equipment, on large commercial projects.

Journeyman level experience preferred; license not required. Read drawings, direct helpers, and uphold safety; knowledge of IMC/SMACNA is a plus. Competitive pay ranges from $21–$35/hr with comprehensive benefits and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic on commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read and work from drawings.
• Direct the work of a helper or apprentice.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and basic construction/shop math.
• Familiarity with IMC and SMACNA standards.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products for HVAC systems on large commercial projects.
• Work with ductwork, plenums, fire dampers, diffusers, air handling units, VAV boxes and related equipment.
• Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project drawings and specs.
