Interstate Mechanical in Knoxville, TN is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic with strong refrigeration experience to install commercial HVAC systems and fabricate ductwork. You will read blueprints, coordinate with foremen, and ensure installations meet codes and project specs.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on refrigeration installation experience, ability to interpret mechanical drawings, and a commitment to quality workmanship. EPA certification is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic.
• Strong hands-on refrigeration installation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration codes and best practices.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• EPA Certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Fabricate and install sheet metal ductwork, fittings, and accessories.
• Install commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems per project specifications.
• Install refrigeration piping, perform brazing, and pressure testing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and mechanical plans.
• Ensure proper airflow, system performance, and code compliance.
• Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on-site.
• Troubleshoot installation issues as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
