Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to contribute to a leading HVACR and Plumbing services region. You will lay out and install commercial piping, measure and fit copper, install fixtures, and work at heights across diverse job sites.

We value safety, teamwork, and hands-on skills, with opportunities to mentor apprentices and advance within a well-established mechanical contractor.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial plumbing experience
• Strong understanding of safety, layout, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Work safely no matter what. Safety is our highest priority.
• Lay out and install commercial pipes in a wide variety of job settings.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles.
• Install hangers to hold pipes in place.
• Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof.
• Install plumbing fixtures.
• Use a variety of power & hand tools.
• Brazing copper.
• Mentor apprentices and support crew development.

Your Main Tasks

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of commercial plumbing experience
• Strong understanding of safety, layout, and teamwork

You need to be able to;

• Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Work as a team.
• Do Basic “Tape measure math”
• Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
• Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
• Work efficiently in confined spaces.
• Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
• Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
