Job summary

Central Air, LLC is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to measure, cut, bend, and assemble duct systems for residential and light commercial HVAC installations. The role includes staging materials, preparing material lists, and helping create purchase orders to ensure smooth shop operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of sheet metal experience, can read blueprints, and are proficient with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of sheet metal experience or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and sheet metal equipment (shears, brakes).
• Ability to lift, carry, and move sheet metal materials.
• Willingness to travel to job sites within the service area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, and assemble duct systems for residential and light commercial HVAC installations.
• Stage and organize job materials; assist in creating purchase orders for smooth shop operations.
• Receive deliveries, organize materials, and maintain a clean, efficient shop.
• Possess forklift experience is a plus; lift moderate weights as needed.

Position Summary:

The Sheet Metal Mechanic will work with sheet metal to measure, cut, bend, and assemble duct systems for residential and light commercial HVAC installations. This person will play a key role in staging and organizing job materials, assembling material lists, and assisting in creating purchase orders to ensure smooth shop operations.

This role will also involve receiving deliveries, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean, efficient shop. Forklift experience is a plus, as is the ability to lift moderate weights to move boxes and materials as needed.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow with us as we expand our fabrication and installation capabilities.

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Range:

$35.50/hr - $39.50/hr, depending on experience
