Job summary

RK Industries, LLC is seeking a Sheet Metal Installer for Cheyenne, Wyoming to perform journeyman-level sheet metal installation on commercial and industrial projects. You’ll read layouts, conduct takeoffs, start-up equipment, and coordinate field activities with crews to keep projects on schedule.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and leadership as you troubleshoot field challenges, ensure compliance with codes, and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master License required.
• Strong knowledge of trade tools and materials.
• Ability to read layouts and perform layouts.
• Excellent communication, safety focus and teamwork.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Perform journeyman or master-level sheet metal installation and related mechanical trade work on commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Support daily field operations by completing layouts, material takeoffs, equipment start-ups, and trade-specific installation activities.
• Coordinate crew productivity and help ensure schedules, deadlines, and project milestones are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Conduct quality control inspections, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.

What You Bring

• Journeyman or Master License with hands-on experience in sheet metal installation, construction, or related mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, building codes, and jobsite best practices.
• Ability to read layouts, perform technical troubleshooting, manage field responsibilities, and maintain high-quality workmanship.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and team success.
• Physical ability to work in active construction environments, including standing for extended periods and performing demanding trade work.
