Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. seeks a Sheet Metal Journeyperson to install duct and air conditioning systems at our Frankfort, IL facility. You will read blueprints, coordinate HVAC duct work, and supervise daily crew tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a sheet metal program, plus HVAC knowledge and strong communication with customers and team members. This is a union position with standard pay scales.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and completion of Sheet Metal Program.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and the ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Installs duct systems, air conditioning systems, and all duct work.
• Coordinates installation of HVAC duct systems, exhaust, and ventilation systems.
• Runs jobs and assigns daily tasks and measures crew productivity.
• Verify measurements and field conditions.
• Ensures proper installation methods and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and shop drawings.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Assist with other work in coordination with repair and maintenance teams.
• Generate change orders and work orders that address customer needs.
