Job summary

Comfort Systems USA MidAtlantic, LLC is seeking a Sheet Metal Helper to support installation and fabrication tasks in South Boston, VA. The role offers a learning pathway into sheet metal work and adheres to our core values of safety, honesty, respect, innovation, and collaboration.

The candidate will assist in material handling, ductwork installation support, and safety policy implementation. A physical, on-site position with potential for growth within our HVAC/mechanical division.

Qualifications

• Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., and to work on ladders, scaffolds, and/or lifts.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in sorting and assembling of materials for installation.
• Loading and unloading fabricated parts.
• Assisting in the insulation and installation of ductwork.
• Evaluating area safety needs/requirements to provide feedback and recommendations to technicians, and assisting in the implementation of safety policies, procedures, and training.
• Performing other related duties or special projects, as assigned.
