Job summary

Design Build Mechanical, a Crete United company, seeks a working Sheet Metal Foreman/Journeyman to lead field installation teams on commercial and industrial projects across NC and neighboring states.

You will oversee gauge selection, supervise crafts, interpret blueprints, and ensure safety while meeting project schedules and budgets. Travel occasionally as required; strong leadership and sheet metal fabrication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working on construction sites and follow safety guidelines.
• Experience with planning, layout, fabricating, assembling and repairing sheet metal parts.
• Ability to interpret specifications, blue prints and work orders.
• Ability to lead craft workers and coordinate activities.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Select gauge and type of sheet metal for fabrication or installation.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints and work orders for supervision.
• Install and direct installation of assemblies in buildings or sites.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and policies enforced.
• Plan work sequences to meet construction schedules.
• Estimate worker-hour requirements and maintain time records.
• Coordinate project activities with other trades and subs.
• Support project manager to coordinate schedules and deliveries.
