Roles and Responsibilities

1. Supervise the layout, assembly, and installation of sheet metal duct.
2. Solve job-related problems and escalate as needed.
3. Manage inventory of materials.
4. Direct work activities and organize resource scheduling.
5. Assess manpower and materials for tasks.
6. Manage crew sizes of 2 to 15 workers.
7. Plan tasks for the crew.
8. Read blueprints and equipment lists for assembly.
9. Address simple job-related issues and report to superiors.
10. Coordinate with customers, owners’ reps, trade partners, and subcontractors.
11. Operate various tools, machinery, and equipment.
12. Support project completion on time.
13. Ensure high-quality work without reminders.
14. Enforce safety policies and procedures.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1. Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
2. Reliable transportation and communication tools.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Professional appearance and punctuality.
5. At least 5 years of commercial mechanical sheet metal experience.
6. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
7. Basic technology skills.
8. Ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and product data.
9. Extensive knowledge of HVAC and ductwork installation, including various types of duct and equipment.
10. Understanding of sheet metal standards, codes, and practices.
11. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and working in various environments.
12. High School diploma or equivalent.
13. Valid driver’s license and passing background and drug tests.

Work Environment

Exposure to weather, noise, electrical hazards, chemicals, and heights.
