Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking a skilled sheetmetal tradesperson to fabricate and install ductwork, venting systems, exhaust, and related metal components. The role requires reading blueprints and working from specifications, with emphasis on precise shop mathematics.

Candidates should have at least four years of sheetmetal or related craft experience, and familiarity with sheetmetal equipment such as brakes and shears is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of sheetmetal experience or related crafts.
• Ability to read marine blueprints.
• Proficiency with brakes and shears preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates and installs sheet metal components such as ductwork, venting, exhaust, and panels.
• Plans and lays out work from blueprints and drawings, using shop math.
