Job summary

Watchfire Signs, LLC. seeks a Fabricator in Houston, TX for an hourly TEMPORARY position. The role involves measuring, cutting, bending and fastening chassis and face panels for scoreboard products. You will work on sheet metal with various fabrication tools, following drawings and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include inspecting material, operating fabrication equipment, and ensuring quality before handoff. Requires high school diploma or GED and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle sheet metal to acceptable quality levels.
• Use hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers and customers.
• Lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Work safely at all times.
• Perform basic math and read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sheets of metal for flaws and measure for correct size.
• Move materials to support fabrication and transfer to other departments.
• Operate plasma tables, shear, brakes, CNC and other fabrication equipment.
• Inspect fabricated subassemblies for correctness before transfer.
• Read drawings and layouts and cut sheet metal per design.
• Wear PPE when using tools and equipment.
