Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabrication and Assembler C to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and rework semi-complicated sheet metal parts.

You will operate brakes, rolls and routers, read blueprints, rivet and perform precision drilling with a focus on quality and mission-critical hardware. Must be a U.S. citizen and have a high school diploma; benefits include comprehensive medical, 401(k) matches and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lay out, fabricate, assemble and rework sheet metal parts.
• Experience with riveted assemblies and reading complex blueprints.
• Familiarity with using sheet metal equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform sheet metal assembly operations on complex parts, details, and assemblies
• Construct checking fixtures, templates and form blocks
• Assemble semi-complicated assemblies, riveting, hand hammering, drilling and reaming
• Operate brakes, rolls, routers and hand tools as required
• Fabricate special equipment and assist with rigging and alignment
• Maintain paperwork and keep the work area clean and orderly
