Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a qualified 2nd Shift Sheet Metal Operator in Seattle, WA. You will operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, read blueprints, and work with a collaborative production team to deliver quality parts.

Qualified candidates have sheet metal fabrication experience, blueprint reading skills, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. This is a contract-to-hire role with a stable 2nd shift schedule in a modern manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
• Experience operating sheet metal fabrication equipment including laser cutters and press brakes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills and commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment such as laser cutters, press brakes, and related machinery.
• Load and unload materials safely.
• Set up machines using blueprints, work instructions, and CNC programs.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring tools.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work with production teams to keep jobs moving on schedule.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Job Overview

We're looking for a Sheet Metal Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Seattle. In this role, you'll operate sheet metal fabrication equipment to produce quality parts used in a variety of manufacturing projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with sheet metal experience who enjoys working with fabrication equipment, reading blueprints, and being part of a collaborative production team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment such as laser cutters, press brakes, and related machinery

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
