Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.

• Cut, bend, punch, drill, and shape sheet metal using manual and automated equipment.
• Assemble fabricated metal parts and components to required specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, rollers, saws, and welding equipment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns.

Job description

Commercial, Residential, Remodel and Service.New installation and/or repairs of any Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, solar and Central Vacuum systems, Flashings, Hoods, Chimney Caps and Ornamental sheet metal fabricating.

Evaluation to Hire - Mon - Friday 7 am - 5 pm

$20 - $30 an hour - depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Measure, mark, and layout materials for fabrication.
• Cut, bend, punch, drill, and shape sheet metal using manual and automated equipment.
• Assemble fabricated metal parts and components to required specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, rollers, saws, and welding equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measuring tools.

Experience operating fabrication machinery and hand tools.

Basic math skills, including measurements and fractions.

Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Welding experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or shop environment.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.
