Job summary

Hughes Circuits is seeking a motivated Metal Fabrication Technician to join our assembly team in San Marcos, CA. You will cut, machine, bend, fabricate, weld, and assemble metal components with precision to produce durable parts meeting industry standards.

Shifts: first 6:00 am - 2:30 pm and second 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. Onsite full-time role with hourly pay $19–$30 based on experience. Requires reading blueprints, using calipers and micrometers, and welding with MIG/TIG.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and precision measurement tools.
• Skilled in MIG welding.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Strong math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Able to work in a team or independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication.
• Operate punch press, waterjet, laser, press brake and machining equipment to shape sheet metal.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding to join parts.
• Use precision tools to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
