Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking skilled sheet metal fabricators for on-site work. You will fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal components per blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities include operating fabricating machinery and welding equipment, inspecting finished work for quality, and ensuring conformance to safety and process standards. A high school diploma and relevant experience are required; relocation is not provided.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of related experience.
• Apprentice graduate or Associate's Degree with 3 years of related experience.
• May require certification.

Responsabilidades

• Fabricate, assemble, install and repair production sheet metal components per blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Set up and operate fabricating machinery; shape metal over anvils, blocks or forms.
• Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications and quality.
