Job summary

Top Prospect Group is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a sheet metal manufacturing engineering team. You will review customer drawings, quote support, and guide process development from initial concept to production.

The role involves working with Production, Quality, and Program Management to ensure manufacturability, efficiency, and cost control while delivering robust engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with sheet metal experience.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes: laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, assembly.
• Ability to read complex drawings, GD&T, and 3D models.
• Experience with CAD tools and manufacturing engineering processes.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and change control.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Oversee sheet metal manufacturing engineering activities and tooling development.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability and drive process improvements.
• Support new product launches and production validation.
• Troubleshoot complex issues with Production and Quality teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
• Ensure documentation, bills of materials, and routings are accurate.
