Job summary

Pontchartrain MEP is seeking a skilled AC Duct Installer to join our HVAC team in New Orleans, LA. The role involves installation, modification, and repair of air conditioning duct systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

You will read blueprints, cut and assemble ducts, ensure proper insulation and sealing, and maintain safety standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or with a crew are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years installation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification a plus.
• OSHA certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Install ductwork per specifications with proper sizing and insulation.
• Inspect, repair, and replace duct sections as needed.
• Fabricate custom duct pieces and modify layouts.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety protocols.
• Communicate with clients and document work layouts.
