Job summary

CCI Mechanical, LLC is hiring a Sheet Metal Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair HVAC ductwork in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will read blueprints, fabricate duct components, and ensure tight seals for optimal airflow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of construction experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork design, and installation techniques.
• Must be able to work on a ladder or scissor lift.
• Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to diagnose issues and find solutions.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand architectural and HVAC plans.
• Attention to detail, ensuring accurate measurements, connections, and sealing of ductwork.
• Customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing ductwork per blueprints, ensuring proper connections and minimizing air leaks.
• Inspecting and maintaining existing ductwork, repairing leaks and optimizing airflow.
• Repairing damaged ductwork or replacing sections as needed.
• Fabricating duct components by cutting, bending, and joining sheet metal with tools.
• Installing insulation around ductwork to improve energy efficiency.
• Diagnosing issues and implementing solutions to restore function.
• Using tools including shears, brakes, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, leak detectors and refrigerant recovery machines.
