Job summary

AtWork Personnel in Florence, KY is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist for the 1st shift (8am-5pm). The role involves reading blueprints, creating and modifying CAD drawings, and assisting from design to production.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on sheet metal fabrication experience, can program laser and turret punch machines, and will collaborate with customers and shop floor to resolve issues and improve manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Strong sheet metal fabrication experience required.
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
• CNC programming experience (Striker preferred but not required).
• Strong understanding of fabrication methods, materials, tolerances, and tooling.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify sheet metal drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and production drawings.
• Program laser and turret punch machines (Striker experience is a plus).
• Develop prototypes and support products from design through production.
• Work with production teams to improve manufacturability and solve shop issues.
• Maintain drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.
• Communicate with customers to review designs and answer technical questions.
• Help improve manufacturing processes, quality, and efficiency.
