Job summary

All1Staffing, LLC in Itasca, IL is seeking a Sheet Metal Associate I to perform hands-on fabrication and assembly of stainless steel parts, following drawings and work instructions.

You will operate metalworking equipment, polish stainless steel, and ensure parts meet finish and quality standards while keeping a clean, safe work area and aiding inventory as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of sheet metal processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of stainless-steel finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sheet metal department equipment.
• Polish stainless steel to meet finish specifications.
• Assemble and fabricate sheet metal components per drawings and work instructions.
• Ensure accurate cutting, shaping, and fitting of parts.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Assist in inventory checks for consumables, tools, and PPE.
• Report equipment or quality issues to the supervisor.

This role focuses on stainless steel polishing, precise assembly, and fabrication of sheetmetal components while ensuring adherence to quality standards.Responsibilities:Operate and maintain sheet metal department equipment.Perform stainless steel polishing to meet finish specifications.Assemble and fabricate sheet metal components according to drawings and work instructions.Ensure accurate cutting, shaping, and fitting of sheet metal parts.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Follow established safety and quality protocols.Assist in inventory checks for consumables, tools, and PPE as needed.Report any equipment or quality issues promptly to the supervisor.*Must Have:• Basic understanding of sheet metal processes and equipment.Knowledge of stainless-steel finishing techniques.Technical skills – proficiency with hand tools and fabrication equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, etc.).Forklift operation experience preferred (certification a plus).You should be proficient in:Machine Building/AssemblingMeasuring and QuotingMetal Stamping & Forming (Progressive Die)
