Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required.

• Foundational Skills: Basic experience with power tools or hands-on activities is a plus.
• Certification Commitment: Willingness to work toward a 3G Welding certificate.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and apply specifications and diagrams.
• Math Skills: Ability to apply geometric/algebraic calculations and read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and diagrams to translate specifications into cut materials.
• Learn to operate metal cutting and welding equipment to cut, weld, bend and shape parts.
• Operate welding equipment to join sign parts and structures.
• Plan, prepare and use materials efficiently to minimize waste.
• Perform finishing work: sanding, polishing, painting touch-ups and detailing.
• Prepare sign structures by laying out materials and pre-painting/wiring preparation tasks.
