USA Mechanical & Energy Service is seeking a Sheet Metal Apprentice to join our growing construction team in Manchester, CT. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of delivering dependable customer service while working well in a team.

Working hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Company provides uniforms, safety gear, and comprehensive safety training as part of a hands-on learning environment focused on duct

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, stay organized, and provide good customer service.
• Strong teamwork and reliability; punctual and safety-conscious.
• Willingness to learn blueprint reading, duct fabrication, and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sheet metal fabrication and installation on construction sites.
• Learn to fabricate ductwork and basic materials.
• Learn to operate manual and automated machinery.
• Learn to read basic blueprints and follow shop procedures.
• Support shop/warehouse organization and safety compliance.
• Participate in forklift operation training and safety.

Job Description/Overview of Position:

Looking for a Sheet Metal Apprentice for our construction team as our company is growing rapidly. The candidate must have either a high school diploma or GED. Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task, organized and pay attention to details, provide excellent customer service and be a strong team member.

• Working hours Monday through Friday from 6.00 AM to 2.30 PM
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Technical evening classes are required if not graduated from technical school
• Uniform & safety equipment is provided by company
• Basic knowledge of hand & electrical tools
• Good mechanical skills
• Must be able to read tape measurements
• Must follow all safety procedures and follow company safety rules & guidelines along with OSHA requirements
• The ability to learn and operate the manual and automated machinery
• Basic blueprint reading skill are preferred but not required
• Learn basic maintenance/make repairs
• Learn to fabricate ductwork and make basic materials
• Learn to drive a forklift (Training provided)
• Help keep the shop/warehouse neat & clean
