USA Mechanical & Energy Services is seeking a Sheet Metal Apprentice for our growing construction team in Hartford, CT. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to stay organized, multi-task, and deliver excellent customer service as a team member.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. You will learn to fabricate ductwork, read blueprints, and operate basic manual and automated machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, stay organized and pay attention to details.
• Excellent customer service and be a strong team member.
• Must be able to read tape measurements.
• Must follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Blueprint reading preferred but not required.
• Learn to fabricate ductwork and basic materials.
• Learn to drive a forklift (training provided).

Job Description/Overview of Position:

Looking for a Sheet Metal Apprentice for our construction team as our company is growing rapidly. The candidate must have either a high school diploma or GED. Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task, organized and pay attention to details, provide excellent customer service and be a strong team member.

• Working hours Monday through Friday from 6.00 AM to 2.30 PM
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Technical evening classes are required if not graduated from technical school
• Uniform & safety equipment is provided by company
• Basic knowledge of hand & electrical tools
• Good mechanical skills
• Must be able to read tape measurements
• Must follow all safety procedures and follow company safety rules & guidelines along with OSHA requirements
• The ability to learn and operate the manual and automated machinery
