Job summary

Award Staffing is seeking a Shear Operator for the Rogers, MN area on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6:30am–2:30pm). This temp-to-hire role requires precise machining, safety focus, and the ability to read a tape measure.

You will operate and set up hydraulic shears, ensure compliance with quality standards, and adapt to workload with possible overtime. Lifting up to 75 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ experience operating a shear – Preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to convert decimals into fractions and vice versa.
• Ability to differentiate metal types and thickness.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team player.
• Overtime when necessary.
• Will to change tasks within the shop as workload necessitates.
• Able to lift 75 lbs repeatedly.

• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm
• Position Type: Temp to Hire
