Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a SharePoint Specialist to design, develop, maintain, and optimize SharePoint sites, pages, and workflows. You will work with stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality solutions and ensure interfaces are user-friendly while aligning with security and testing standards.

This role requires a minimum 4+ years in related fields, proficiency in HTML/CSS and the .NET stack, active Secret clearance, and a track record of delivering maintainable interfaces.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years in SharePoint/web design, software development, or QA.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS and programming languages/frameworks (C#, Java, JavaScript, .NET).
  • Strong usability, accessibility, secure coding, and SDLC knowledge.
  • Experience with relational databases, RESTful services, or automated testing frameworks.
  • Active Secret Security clearance is required.
  • Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, internal pages, and simple workflows.
  • Create user-friendly layouts, navigation structures, and content architecture.
  • Enhance functionality by adding features, refactoring, and fixing defects.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive software test plans and defect tracking.
  • Conduct system modification testing and regression testing before deployment.
  • Participate in defect triage and coordinate with developers for resolution.
  • Collaborate with analysts, end-users, and leadership to translate requirements into interfaces.
  • Support design reviews and provide input on system requirements and schedules.
  • Document defects and maintain system documentation and testing procedures.

Overview

Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.

The Work

The SharePoint Specialist will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of SharePoint sites, internal web pages, and workflows. This role involves designing user-friendly interfaces, conducting comprehensive software testing, managing software defect documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintainSharePoint sites,internal web pages, and createsimple workflowsto streamline business processes.
  • Develop clear and user-friendlylayouts,navigation structures, andcontent architectures.

  • Work withbusiness analysts,end-users, andleadershipto translate functional requirements into maintainable interfaces and applications.
  • Participate indesign reviewsand provide input on systemfunctional requirements,operational characteristics,product designs, andimplementation schedules.
  • Document application and software defects in abug tracking system and work closely with developers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Supportproduction and development environmentsthrough debugging, troubleshooting, and monitoring system performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive databases ofknown defectsfor streamlined resolution.
  • Create and update system documentation, includingtechnical specifications,process workflows, andtesting procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement in existing systems and propose enhancements to improve usability, flexibility, or performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • SharePoint/web design, software/application development, or software testing/QA.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS and familiarity with modern programming languages or frameworks (e.g., C#, Java, JavaScript, .NET).
  • Strong understanding ofusability principles,accessibility standards,secure coding practices, and structuredsoftware development lifecycles.
  • Experience with relational databases, RESTful services, or automated testing frameworks.
  • Active Secret Security clearance is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting government or corporate intranets or mission‑critical applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing tools, and performance or security testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of web‑based workflows, form design, and production support environments.

Working Conditions
