Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks an experienced SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Migration Consultant to lead assessment, design, and migration of legacy SharePoint apps into a modern Microsoft 365 environment. You will act as a technical leader, guiding governance, automation, and best practices across enterprise-wide modernization efforts.

The role combines SharePoint architecture, Microsoft 365, Power Platform development, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint migrations or Microsoft 365 implementations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain migration methodologies, governance standards, and technical processes for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 modernization initiatives.
• Assess legacy SharePoint applications, workflows, forms, and integrations to determine migration readiness and complexity.
• Design and implement migration solutions for SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
• Evaluate and convert SharePoint Designer workflows and InfoPath forms into modern Microsoft 365 solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Create application inventories and document business requirements, dependencies, security models, and technical architectures.
• Develop migration scripts, automation tools, and repeatable solutions using PowerShell, PnP PowerShell, and approved migration tools.
• Troubleshoot complex migration, compatibility, security, and data integrity issues.
• Define testing, validation, deployment, and post-migration support processes to ensure successful application transitions.
• Establish migration quality standards, acceptance criteria, documentation requirements, and risk assessment methodologies.

Pay Rate: $50-$65/Hr

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Migration Consultant to lead the assessment, planning, design, and migration of legacy SharePoint applications into a modern Microsoft 365 environment. This individual will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert, helping drive an enterprise-wide modernization initiative focused on converting SharePoint on-premises applications, workflows, and forms into scalable, supportable cloud-based solutions.

This role requires a strong combination of SharePoint architecture, Microsoft 365 expertise, Power Platform development, technical governance, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate has successfully led SharePoint Online migration efforts and is comfortable advising on application modernization strategies, migration standards, and best practices.

Preferred Experience of the SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Migration Consultant

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint migrations, modernization initiatives, or Microsoft 365 implementations.
• Experience migrating applications from SharePoint On-Premises (2016 or newer) to SharePoint Online.
• Strong expertise with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Experience converting SharePoint Designer workflows and InfoPath forms into modern cloud-based solutions.
• Experience developing automation scripts using PowerShell and PnP PowerShell.
• Experience evaluating application architecture, dependencies, data structures, security, and permissions.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security, governance, records management, and information architecture.
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing, deployment, release management, and change control practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Bonus Experience of the SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Migration Consultant

• Experience using ShareGate or other enterprise migration tools.
• Higher education industry experience.
• Experience with Jira, Trello, or similar project management platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered productivity tools.
• Experience developing migration frameworks, governance models, and reusable migration assets.
• Experience leading cross-functional modernization projects and mentoring technical teams.
• Exposure to Microsoft licensing strategy and cloud adoption planning.
