Job description

With your SHAREPOINT experience, you shall support the creation, testing, migration, documentation, maintenance, and daily operation of SOF Enterprise collaboration capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing, managing, and supporting Knowledge System Tools.
  • Serving as the Subject Matter Expert on selected platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365, and emerging collaboration tools necessary to meet information requirements.
  • Analyzing business needs and processes to recommend the best methodologies and tools from approved platforms.
  • Identifying, logging, and mapping organizational data flows and their respective information systems.
  • Collaborating with users and stakeholders to analyze business requirements, goals, and risks to define the technical scope and objectives of projects related to SharePoint solutions.
  • Creating SharePoint out-of-the-box apps and collaborative tools, including lists, document/form libraries, discussion boards, surveys, calendars, the ribbon, web parts, workflows, PowerApps, and InfoPath. Ensuring seamless integration of SharePoint with other Microsoft products while coordinating across the organization to optimize enterprise solutions.
  • Establishing and enforcing governance rules. Organizing and leading monthly SharePoint Power User group meetings. Compiling and delivering monthly reports on site collection usage and progress.
  • Performing SharePoint Site Collection Administration, including managing permissions, restricting and revoking access as required, and creating scalable structures for top-level, directorate, division, and branch sites. Ensuring uniform navigation across sites and managing search scopes to create project and document dashboards.
  • Maintaining the SharePoint environment by regularly reviewing content for business relevance, customizing and updating landing pages to encourage user engagement, monitoring site usage, addressing dormancy, and ensuring workflows and tasks function correctly. Researching SharePoint’s evolving capabilities and coordinating with the communications team regarding site migrations.
  • Providing end-user support and driving user adoption. Acting as Tier 1 support for end users and site designers. Training users on basic functionality and directing them to training materials and available resources. Collaborating with organizational trainers to audit and improve knowledge systems training programs.
  • Performing general data administration, including manual data entry, creating, modifying, and deleting data per government policy, researching and analyzing data, and scanning and uploading documents and data files.
  • Defining and testing access privileges, control structures, and resources. Conducting periodic audits to identify and address security violations and vulnerabilities.
  • Enhancing security by assessing usage, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements. Identifying and reporting quality or security issues. Conducting accuracy checks on stored data.
  • Ensuring compliance with information assurance policies and regulations, including those set by DoD, NDSA, DISA, NIST, and other relevant military and federal authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active SECRET or higher security clearance.
  • Active Security+ or equivalent IAT II certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Ideally, 10 Years of IT experience including 5+ years of relevant SharePoint experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
