Job summary

BNY is seeking a Shareholder Services Representative I to join our Retail Customer Service team in Lake Mary, FL. This role involves answering inbound calls to assist Retail Direct shareholders, processing financial transactions, and providing support for online accounts.

Candidates are expected to have at least a high school diploma, with a Bachelor's degree preferred and experience in financial services being a plus. This position provides a chance to work within a supportive team culture with competitive compensation and benefits.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Shareholder Services Representative I to join our Retail Customer Service team. This role is located in Lake Mary, FL.

Responsibilities

• Working within the Retail Services department, answer inbound calls in support of Retail Direct shareholders.
• Assist with processing financial transactions, provide account information, and respond to client inquiries daily of varying complexity.
• Provide advanced technical assistance for shareholders’ online accounts.
• On a case‑by‑case basis, review shareholder accounts for any errors, general issues, and escalates matters through appropriate channels when issues cannot be resolved at the initial point of contact.
• Track the progress of escalated matters to ensure proper follow up and closure of these issues.
• Provide guidance to junior members of the staff. This position does not have direct reports.

Qualifications

• High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in financial services preferred.
