Job summary

Nonotuck Resource Associates, Inc. is hiring shared living caregivers in the Webster area. These caregivers will provide personal care services while developing meaningful relationships with individuals who have intellectual or physical disabilities.

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, companionship, and household routines. A separate bedroom is required for the individual, and candidates must pass background checks and be certified in First Aid/CPR. The position offers a generous stipend and ongoing support.

Range = $27,618 to $96,677 annually*

*Range above represents difficulty of care payments paid to a caregiver for providing personal care services to an eligible person residing either in the caregiver’s home or in the person’s own home. Stipend rates are contingent upon assessed needs of the person and subject to state approval. Stipend levels 18 through 21 are available only by special application to the purchasing governmental unit. Nonotuck is seeking single people, couples and families who are interested in living with and sharing their life with an intellectually or physically disabled person. We are currently searching for shared living caregivers in the Webster area.

Responsibilities

Beyond providing care, the shared living caregiver will develop a meaningful relationship with the person they are sharing their home with. She/he/they will be a roommate and a friend, spending time together, sharing activities, and enjoying a lively and engaged life. We consider this to be a long-term commitment.

The duties of the shared living caregiver will include but not be limited to building on and maintaining independence by being able to assist in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as participation in regular household routines, providing companionship and going out on community activities/outings. Caregivers would be responsible for helping with grocery shopping, cooking, housekeeping, laundry, routine budget management, medication management, and medical appointments.

When searching for shared living caregivers, we will consider applicants who live in single family homes or apartments (with an extra bedroom) or are willing to move and who are single, a couple, families, people with children, with pets, and people with or without experience.

Requirements
