Job summary

The University of Kansas invites qualified professionals to apply for part-time instructional positions for in-person and online professional development classes and consulting engagements. Instructors may teach a variety of leadership and management topics and will collaborate with program leaders to plan instruction.

Travel to class and client sites is required; a master’s degree (or bachelor’s with five years of related experience) and at least one year of adult professional development

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the related field, or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related instructional experience.
• At least 1 year of adult professional development instruction, consulting, facilitation, or conference presentations.

Responsibilities

• Teach a specified number of classes for programs in a specific content area. Courses may be taught in person, hybrid, or online.
• Evaluate student work and provide timely feedback aligned with learning objectives.
• Provide feedback to students outside the classroom as directed by the program leader.
• Facilitate class discussions linking curriculum to competencies and outcomes.
• Assist with tracking attendance and engagement in learning environments.
• Design course content and assessments when requested within program/client objectives.
• Contribute to analysis of student feedback for program improvement.
• Adhere to departmental, college and university policies.

Education

Master's degree in related field

Bachelor's degree in related field + 5+ years experience
