Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Theater Education, English Language Arts, Arts Education, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years teaching theater, drama, ELA, or arts-integrated instruction in schools preferred.
• Strong understanding of Shakespeare language and accessibility for students.
• Experience leading theater-based literacy activities (close reading, writing, storytelling).
• Experience adapting instruction for diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Shakespeare Laboratory residencies in NYC public schools using an established curriculum.
• Lead grade-appropriate theater and literacy activities connected to Romeo and Juliet.
• Support student engagement and connect classroom work to the live performance.
