Job summary

Shahbaz (CNA) position in Grand Rapids, MI is a full-time, 2nd shift role with a schedule of 2pm - 10:15pm and weekend premiums. The role involves helping elders with daily care, meals, and home-like tasks to support independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include personal care, hydration, mobility support, vital checks, and collaboration with nursing teams to follow care plans. A Michigan CNA license and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid Michigan Certification for Nursing Assistants (CNA).
• Must be at least 18 year of age or older.
• Experience providing direct care to the elderly.
• Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand and carry out directions.
• Ability to perform job related duties which may require lifting, standing, bending, transferring, stooping, stretching, walking, pushing and pulling.

• Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.
• Provide Responsive Support – Answer call lights quickly and respond with kindness and compassion.
• Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with nursing and clinical teams to follow care plans, report changes in condition, and ensure seamless, person-centered care.
• Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.
• Home Environment Support: Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home by assisting with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation based on resident needs and preferences.

Description

Schedule: Full-time 32-36 hours per week | 2nd shift 2pm - 10:15pm | Varies Monday - Friday | Every Other Weekend | No scheduling mandation
Shift Premiums: Weekend (Fri 11:00 pm - Sun 10:59 pm) $ 0.50
Pay rate: $21.97 - $24.10 (This rate includes an additional $3.40 per hour. The Michigan Skilled Nursing Facility Direct Care Worker Pass-Through program is approved through September 30, 2026; however, this additional pay will continue through September 30, 2027.)
