Job summary

Leggett & Platt in Missouri is hiring a Shaft Line Operator to maintain the automated cell, perform tool changes, load raw materials, and ensure quality to meet production goals. The role requires following instructions, reading drawings, and operating forklift and inspection tools.

You will participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting related material handling tasks in a full-time manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production on all machinery within the automated cell to meet performance and quality goals.
• Perform basic tool changeovers, tool offsets, and machine maintenance.
• Load raw material onto bar feeders and manage chamfering.
• Rework non-conforming product as needed.
• Assist with packaging and handling of finished materials.
• Support Material Handler duties when possible.
• Report problems to the supervisor and halt production if out of spec.
• Identify issues related to product, process, or quality systems.
• Control non-conforming material and initiate corrective actions.
